So I haven’t had any major issues with the RS6 for a while so we decided to go for another drive up north. Nearly made it to Montville but the RS6 was having some technical difficulties. Primarily, it’s lack of brakes. Managed to pull the car over onto a side road and handbrake it to a stop. Brake pedal was rock solid and the car was idling at 4000rpm. Inspected under the bonnet only to be presented with a large vacuum leak somewhere under the intake manifold. Not much I could do at the side of the road so RACQ was called.
We did however manage to break down in one of the nicer spots around.
3 hours later a tow truck showed up to do the 100Km tow back to Brisbane
This marks the fourth occasion the RS6 has caught a ride on the back of a flatbed.
