I’m having quite a hard time trying to find numbers for chips on the 4.2TT platform. I took the RS6 down the Harding Performance to see if they could shed some light on what I could expect if I was to chip it.
Looking over some older information it appeared as though my car was putting out around the same power as a previously chipped RS6. That didn’t make much sense since I was fairly certain that my RS6 was stock.
So we decided to pull the ECU out and have a look.
The ECU was still in its original housing and the security bolts were still in place. Upon opening up the ECU we found that the ECU was indeed completely stock.
